Obviously you haven't looked into how the Remco pump system is installed and set up. The pump power comes from the coach, not from the towed vehicle. In the event of a system failure, a signal is sent to the dash mounted controller in the coach that turns on a flashing red LED and sounds an alarm. An alarm also sounds if the wire harness is not properly connected when the coach engine is started or running. Our 2002 Toyota RAV4 was towed just over 30,000 miles using a Remco pump with no related transmission issues. Our current 2011 RAV4 has over 10,000 towing miles on it, also with no transmission issues, using the same pump that was installed on the 2002. As far as warranties go, look up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 regarding aftermarket parts usage.
Fully aware of all of those things. Still doesn't change my position. But I think you missed my main point. The pump is not necessarily lubing all of the things that need to be lubed inside the tranny. That was not considered in the design at all. I'm happy to hear that your Toyota Trans still works, but have you ever thought that you may have reduced it's life expectancy? Think about that....
