Fleetwood Bounder Black Tank Questions

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2015 Fleetwood Bounder 35K and I was asking about emptying the black tank. In our previous Winnie, the drain came outwards so we could connect a clear 45 degree elbow and have the hose come out the side, but with the Bounder the drain is pointed down and it is off center from the hole that is cut into the floor of the compartment. I have tried a 45 and a 90 and cant seem to get the set up to fit smoothly. Does anyone have any suggestions? My only way to get it to fit right now and fit through the hole is to not use a clear elbow.

  • Wait a minute! This is a 2015? This is a manufacturer defect! Take it back to a Bounder dealer and tell them to fix it right!
  • Mine rotates as well. You can point it straight down or rotate it to angle almost straight out.
  • Not much has changed in 20 years in that area, for Bounders. My 1995 Bounder has the same issue.

Maybe a straight clear adapter from Camco will work for you?

  • You can move the drain up or down to line up with the cut out hole.
  • "dgodinez".....The black tank valve can be rotated. It's designed to move within the valve. You can pretty much spin it 360 degrees if nothing is in the way. See if moving it helps. If the assembly is not centered in the hole, you may be stuck. You can also look for a larger drain plate, cut the hole out and install a larger drain plate and cover.
  • I believe that you can get a female - male extension to hook onto the dump, to extend through the bottom of the service area, then us the clear elbow.
