Fleetwood Expedition 38K

I currently own a 2007 Newmar Kountry Star, which I like, I am thinking of upgrading to a 2015 Fleetwood Expedition 38K which lists for $265,000 and can be purchased directly for about $193K. I don't know very much about Fleetwood or this model series. Does anyone know anything about the Expedition 38K? Thanks for your input.

That's about 27% off. Is that The MSRP ? We negotiated 33% off our 2014 Fleetwood Expedition. What do you mean directly? Fleetwood has been making MH's for a long time and the chassis is a good one. The Cummins is a good engine 6.7 ISB. Now I'm sure someone is going to tell you it's underpowered.

Ours is a 40X -42' weighing 27000 loaded. It pulls a 4000 jeep Cherokee without a hiccup. Power is adequate to get up every hill you throw at it if you stay within your weight specs. Can load up to 32400 lbs and still pull a 10,000 toad. So we have a lot of room to work with.

We didn't like the original shocks a replaced with Koni's after one year. Big difference in ride and side to side sway. This model is more of a entry level coach ( better than some) but very dependable and has been around a while. I think you will be happy with the brand, if it's the layout you wish you should be pleased.

I think you can get a better deal though. Ours listed at 245000 - got it for 163000.

  • A dealer has several of these units in Phoenix. I looked at them at a show and was very impressed, many high end standard items.
  • He is thinking about it and asking for opinions. That what forums are for.

    I have an 05 Expy. Mine MSRPd for 185k I paid $125k.

Not sure how much better they are now. Mine is an entry level coach.
It has a rear radiater, vinyl covered cab fronts vinyl floors. It has been a good coach but I wouldn't get another rear rad. My SEGI windows have all fogged up.
They are out of business. I had a major slide issue which Fleetwood fixed under warranty.

I am not crazy about the new diesel smog controls.
  • I'm curious to know why you would choose a manufacturer and model you don't know anything about. Just curious
