Insurance companies, cable companies, cell phone companies....all the same breed. They give the best deals to the new customer. No one honors good, repeat customers any more. It just doesn't pay to be loyal to a single service provider. You have to go shopping every coupe of years.
Dad turned me on to the Allstate Rep when I first got my driver's license. I kept that man until I was in my mid-forties. Until an Insurance broker told me she could save me close to $100.00 a month. Allstate Rep said he could not touch those rates. Six months after I switched, Allstate Rep tried to woo me back...he could give me NEW customer rates that matched what I got from the broker. If he had done that in the first place, as if my 20+ years mattered, I would never have left them.
That dedicated ALLSTATE office is no longer in that location. It was replaced with a broker that can "shop" many different companies.
For the record... no one has ever beaten Progressive for the Harley and the little 50cc scooter we have. I have Westfield on house, cars, Rv...but they suggested I leave the bikes with progreesive cause they couldn't touch the coverage I have for the rates I get from Flo.
