READ, read, read before changing insurance companies.
Almost all the advertised adnauseum Insurance companies either on TV or online, advertise one rate and either under that in small print or buried in your policy (which you get after you pay for it, unless you demand to read it first), (which if you do it on line no one ever does)...will be the disclaimer right in the policy that the rate is for ONE year.
With that they need no reason to raise your rate. Then try and go back to your original insurance company and see what happens. :(
Been with State Farm for 30 years. No major increases.
Yet all my friends that jump ship for these TV ads and E insurance are bouncing all over because of increases.
