Flooring Installation

Hello,
I have a 2004 HR Endeavor 40PRT. I'm looking to get a hardwood laminate installed. Looking at the main slide, I think it just drags along the floor.
One service center said they would need to install rollers to keep the floor from getting scratched. The install along with the flooring would be over $6,000.
Another service center said it's a bad idea to install rollers.
Anyone out there do this to your coach? I know one guys said take it to Carpiterea.
  • They want 6K because they don't know what they're getting into.
    Avoid!
Oh and properly installed rollers are a great idea - BTDT!
  • Our Winnebago has rollers on the floor against the outside wall that support the slide there and a piece of aluminum box tubing wrapped with carpet that slides along the vinyl floor just behind the front inner edge of the slide. No damage yet after 3 years but I'm keeping an eye on the condition of the carpet on them. The are easily removed by taking out screws that come down from the top of the slide floor.
  • Take the drawers out and look under the slide with a flashlight from the inside. I have a 2001 Diplomat which is Endeavor equal and it has 5 rollers. three on the floor and two on the bottom of the slide.

Contact Erniee with a pm or THIS is his website. He does a bunch of coaches and usually booked pretty far in advance.
