When I was an OTR driver it never bothered me to have a large RV in the truck lanes. Many of us enjoyed talking to the owners while they fueled. I now have a 42 ft RV and use the truck lanes. Now I have the drivers talking to me about my RV.
This has been my experience as well. I've asked some of the OTR drivers if it bothers them that motor homes are fueling at the truck pumps. Every answer has been no. Most of them have been driving for hours, and look at the fuel stops as time to get some rest. I haven't seen or heard any OTR driver that's in a big hurry at the fuel stops.
