I was a member for 11 years. I have let my membership lapse this year, and not sure I will ever bother to rejoin. I became a member to be a part of the Revconeers, but that group is starting to dwindle as well.
My perception is that before the internet forums, groups like that had significant value, however with today's social media, I do not see the need. One can find an affinity group online and learn about everything they need to know from online sources. Truthfully, the online sources are much better for interaction, as it has a much broader base. Younger people are not into the commitment to make an organization like that work. We will get together when we want, or when its convenient. We are much more spontaneous to plan mega rallies.
