I don't get it, the FMCA is allowing towables to join and that's a problem?
The way I see it, is the more the merrier! Well, I have never been to a FMCA event but would not have a problem if towables were allowed.
We all share the same love of camping. The beautiful sunset looks exactly the same from a Prevost to a tent.

Human nature. Elitism. Always gonna have some of it......how dare they allow the lowly travel trailer among our motor coaches? What will be next? Pop ups? Oh the humanity.
It's not unlike the national rally sponsored by the Forest River owners group. It only can accept 800 attendees out of the 50000 + members of that organization due to the size of the facility in Goshen where it's held. When they announced they would no longer be parking people in groups by brand/type of RV as it put a huge workload on the volunteers doing the parking duty, a gaggle of disgruntled Berkshire class A folks rebelled and boycotted. No way in hell were they gonna park their precious Berkshire, which is a cheap class A comparitivly in the class A world but at the top of the Forest River garbage pile, among the common folk. They took their ball and went home lol. Actually they started their own owners group, Facebook page, and had their own rally elsewhere. Good for them and probably good for someone who wanted to attend that Forest River rally but could not get a spot due to the demand. It was funny to read at the time. I could not figure out if it was adults with RVs or a bunch of junior high school girls.
The only thing I know about FMCA is what I read but I imagine someone with some brains came to the conclusion something needed done to drum up membership or some other reason based on economics. Out of the folks who were against it, I would bet a good percentage also would of been against any increase of any dues or membership fees to keep the organization solvent also.
