My understanding: PW has stopped using the Ford 'E' chassis and will be building on the MB Sprinter chassis for future models. The rumor mill has it that Ford will discontinue the Econoline in favor of the Transit, but will probably continue building Econoline due to a huge outcry from Econoline customers...sounds somewhat like Ford's stance on the Mustang a few years ago.
