The cruise control disengage on our MH is very sensitive to just the slightest tap on the brake pedal. I can take it out of active cruise by applying just the least amount of force. I have had to (rarely) reach behind the brake pedal with my toe to make sure the pedal is completely retracted so the cruise would engage. Give that a try if you haven't already done so and see if it helps. Take your chassis VIN to a Ford dealer or truck center and they should be able to check the company's records to see if you need the recall work done.
