It sounds to me like the dealer is being purposely vague or even misleading about the factory warranty in order to sell you an extended warranty which is a great profit center for them. Of course any new vehicle would come with a warranty from the manufacturer on the engine. I prefer not to deal with sleazy people,especially when large amounts of my money are involved.

I have not put any money on this, i think that what happened is as follows. The finance officer asked a service tech what was covered under a drivetrain warranty so she would have that information for customers. The tech is thinking drivetrain and not powertrain and tells her that the drivetrain is only the transmission, axles and driveshaft. Voila, a drivetrain warranty becomes limited in the mind of someone who shouldknow better. Having owned an F350 and understanding the warranty, I am pretty sure that the information I am getting is not accurate, but, as I say, the RV industry has it's share of anomalies and I am trying to be certain that this is not one of them. No, not John's RV. We bought our 5th Wheel there. This is another dealer in our metro area.
