Forest River Motorhomes RV One Superstores????

I received a PM from the OP. He sounds like a decent guy, but one who is fit to be tied with all the problems he is faced with. He was not too specific, just to say he could probably bite a nail in half he is so frustrated.

Sure would be nice if some of the members here would stop shooting the messenger, in every case where the OP is a new and fails to explain everything immediately, in great detail, and to your satisfaction. I am a VERY long time member here, and have done business with RVDirect and Buffalo RV. I have clearly explained why I would not do business with them again, in a previous post, and had no problem at all accepting the OP's original post at face value. I literally purchased a TT worth 1/20th of the motorhome being discussed, and based on my experience, don't doubt for a second that the OP is straight up. It does get a bit old to see the same clowns starting up the same circus everytime a new member jumps on board with, "hey I just got really, really screwed by......." Which is inevitably followed by the big red nose and floppy rubber shoe clowns running around like quacking ducks chanting "liar, liar". I own a Forest River product and have done business with the dealer in question. It doesn't take too much effort to locate far better products and sellers.

And fair warning, the moderators do enforce the following rule: "Posts are not allowed in which a local, state, or federal consumer action board and/or legal counsel is/have been involved. There is a reason why many of us were skeptical of the post. It is not uncommon for a new poster to come on bashing a dealer or manufacturer and then never be heard from again. As I stated in an earlier post I was mistaken about the list prices as they have gone up considerably over the last three years.

I am sorry to hear of your troubles and I certainly realize that there are times when a rig leaves the factory that never should have left. My experience with Forest River and RVOne has been the direct opposite of yours. Any issues we have had have been dealt with fairly and quickly by both the dealer and the manufacturer. We have had very few problems with our unit and absolutely no problems with RVOne.

One man's pleasure is another man's pain and the same can be said for RV's and their dealers.

I have heard that Forest River built good units, but I have to question that now. Bought a new 34ft Flagstaff loaded out. Went and had Maxxis E's put on yesterday and found that the rims had five holes (no big deal) and the tires were load range C (big deal) which seemed much too light for the weight hence the E's. Then the fun began. After spending $5000 on reworking my drive so the new TT would fit, I missed the entrance by a couple of feet and the TT slid over some on the wet grass into a couple of saplings whereupon they immediately took out my steps and banged up some of the skirting which I will replace when we come back end of the summer. Rounding up some new steps today. Hopefully the rest of the unit stays together. We'll find out on our Alaska trip.

License transfer is done in some states, including AZ. The plate stays with the owner and is transferred when trading for another vehicle.

1. They purchased Jan 15th give or take a few days
2. RV Direct is a Website buying service that the Dealers that are under the RV One Superstores obviously have a contract with.
3. The OP needs to state, did they purchase the RV IN Florida and that RV is the one delivered up North for them in April, or did they ORDER and pay for a unit in Jan. and the unit was built in Indiana and delivered to New York brand new??????
4. Caveat Emptor, for using ANY web based buying service. From the last posting, it seems the Website is the one they are dealing with and NOT the land based RV dealership.

1. I am not sure how you "transfer a license" to a new coach. Maybe things are different in your area than here in California.

2. RVDirect? When did they come into the picture? Nothing in your original post mentions them.

While we are willing to help you out if we can, or specifically if you want, but the posts you have made are a bit fragmented and I am having a hard time following what the issues are, and most of all, WHO are the issues with?

I guess I'm surprised to find that my Berkshire has gone up in MSRP by more than $50,000 in less than three years. So I do stand corrected on my MSRP statement. However, I still question the validity of the post. If someone is that unhappy at the PDI then by all means take up your issues with the powers that be and don't write the check.
