Just as an aside and FWIW ... I think that Ford does offer the E350 and E450 chassis with a limited slip rear differential ... which most of my life my vehicles have always had, whether 2WD vehicles or 4WD vehicles. Even the DW's current 2WD sedan has an automatic traction control (locking) rear differential.
If I had it to do all over again and was special ordering a new E350 or E450 Class C RV from a dealer ... I'd DEFINITELY specify a locking rear differential on it ... for just-in-case situations.
Our very first camper was a new 3/4 ton Dodge delivery van that we converted into a van camper. We ordered it with a limited slip differential and took it all over off-pavement on desert and forest roads. It could even make it on the uphill roads to our mountain home under (rare) light snnow conditions using only the M&S tires I had on it ... when it would have been very dangerous to attempt it with an open (non-locking) rear differential vehicle.
