Ron in full agreement... Just to be clear we don't take our RV on 4x4 roads but maybe some rough dirt or gravel but those are only spur ins or outs we creep in or out of and we are talking slower than walking speed. The advantage is there is no,wheel slip with the low torque and having clearance allows us to ease into some pretty cool spots usually 50 to 100 yards back in. Wouldn't be doing that with out the lift springs and gearing. We go into places and park for,weeks at a time then use our Rubicon Unlimited to go explore.
I believe we are in agreement that a class C with a 4x4 more than likely would or should never need a locker or sway bar disconnects??. Thats why we look at our rig as a Motorhome that just happens to have the advantages of 4 wheel drive for snow and mud.... with the low gearing and clearance we use only for pulling into a camp spot... Not going down 4x4 roads.
The price point for that 4x4 off-road capability and the sacrifices that come along with it brings me back to a truck camper scale.... And you wouldnt be towing anyway.
Having a little bit of a lift with a Class C or Super C with 4 Wheel,Drive definitely extends where and when you can go without trashing your vehicle if you are careful and wise about use. There are so many of us who thrive on getting to those special spots in the "back of beyond" well down and just off the county road.
