I also run OptiLube Summer Blend. Within the last year Cummins has changed their position on fuel additives and DOES recommend adding products that improve lubricity. If you were to buy perfectly blended fuel that meets all of the Governments specifications, then there would be no need for additives. Cummins and independent studies have determined that we often get fuel that doesn't meet the Government standards for lubricity.
