That would seem to make sense on a new (newer) engine. However, mine is a 2002.
To date, I've been using HOWE'S DIESEL TREATMENT about every three of four tank fulls. I started using it a couple of years ago on the recommendation of a couple of over-the-road trucker acquaintances of mine. Seems to be a popular choice amongst them. Until a day or so ago, I hadn't heard of the FPPF product.
