Not front end, behind the axle passenger side. Had a small crack by the window, hit a major dip while pulling a trailer now the crack is about 4’long and there’s 3 of them plus it shattered the window. Only on the paaaenger side. I feel that it has to have some frame issues for this to happen
What is the year and make of your MH? Is the crack in a main wall or slide wall? To me that sounds more like a house structural issue more than a frame issue. I could be wrong.
Friends had a well respected brand that repeatedly cracked at a slide opening. I've seen others of the same make and model with the same issue. Thats why I'm asking about your make and model.
Don't tell me that---I have the same DP pulling a 32ft tri axel enclosed trailer. Mine does have a 10,000lb hitch but something don't sound good for the damage you describe----I see you over on DRR.
Hey Fern. Yeah it was one of those dips you don’t see coming, pulling a 34’ in tech with the same 10000# hitch probably. It was bad, front tires came off the ground and I could feel them shake when they hit the ground .
It is a common problem to overload a Motorhome by pulling a too heavy a trailer. The tow rating is the lesser of the GCWR - actual gross weight of the motorhome or the hitch rating whatever is less. For example if you have a hitch rated at 10k, a GCWR of 30k an actual coach weight of 26k you can only tow a trailer of 4K assuming you reduce the coach weight by 400# to account for the tongue weight. The point is that you cannot exceed any ratings. I have seen people towing double stacker trailers behind motorhomes all the time. However it can cause the frame to break if subjected to an abnormal stress such as a bump or pothole.
