hoosiermark, I'm with you on butchered wiring! I've do several restorations on old cars and dealt with the results of years of "change orders"!
I did talk to the Chevy dealer when they were rewiring the radio. Their position is it is the responsibility of the up-fitter to pull all wiring to the hitch. Apparently trailer wiring isn't, or at least wasn"t, installed during mfg. I'll give Forest River a call to ask if they have info. When we were chasing the dash/radio issues they were no help...maybe this time they will.
I did find where the wire bundle from the rear enters up through the floor directly behind the driver's seat. I'm going to try to pull the orange wire out of the bundle right at the floor and reroute it over to the battery compartment. At least I should then be using the "correct" wire! LOL
