Freelander 7pin Wiring

I've been towing a dolly as well as flat towing a Wrangler. Wiring to both have been fine...got lights, brake lights and turn signals. So I decided to add a "charge" circuit to the Wrangler to keep its battery charged while towing. Now the issue, I don't seem to have a 12v wire at the 7pin connector. I do have wires to all 7 pins. Just not one with a constant 12v.
Thus far, I have checked fuses in the box under the hood as well as the one under the seat...nothing blown. There are three wires in the 7pin connector that seem "dead". They are a yellow/white on the center pin and blue/white and orange/white on two other pins.
Any ideas on where to look for the open? My next step will be to just disconnect those three wires and run a fused lead from the starter battery or, perhaps the house battery.

Thanks,
Gary
  • ^Well, it appears you may be correct. I have idenified the fuse(30amp) but, I would need to remove the fuse block to determine what, if any, wire is attached. I'm not up for that! I'll just pull another wire.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Okay, that's the orange wire location. I have been through the fuses a couple of times with no luck. Or at least, no blown fuses. There are a couple of fueses marked RVUpfiter that I'll take a closer look at. Or perhaps I'm just overlooking a missing relay.
    Thanks,

You need to look in your chassis owners manual 'FUSE' Section for towing fuses/position-location and IF a 'relay' is also needed with fuse.
