Fresh water

While connected to city water we are still running off the fresh water tank, almost ran empty. Was not told of a valve to change over am I missing something? This is our first rv and first trip!

Pump was on the first nite, not on now pressure is ok.
If the pump switch is on will the pump continue to run or shut off when not running water?

Pump will only run when there is a demand for water, i.e. you turn on a faucet. It could also continuously run if there is a leak.
  • Thank you for the replies we continued to run on the tank last night.
Could it be because the city water was to low of pressure?

You would get some sort of water coming out even with lower pressure. I recommend calling Holiday Rambler and have them walk you through it all over the phone. Or take it back to the dealer for them to check.
  • That sucks the plan to take it back for things like this we have started a list.
Anyone with a holiday rambler that feels like the jack are set too low
For the rig we drag on the most unsuspecting places!
  • Look for a Holiday Rambler forum or facebook group. More than likely to find those with similar rv's that may have same issues and solutions.
  • The technical support said it would pull from the tank if the pump was on!
I will pay more attention to what is happening pretty sure we did not have the pump on, but I will also have gauge for checking park water pressure before I hook up!
Thank you all for the responses
  • For my city water to flow properly, without the pump on I must turn one valve off (to the on board tank) and turn another valve on for city water. Valves are located in a variety of different places depending on each rig.

I think that is what we told you...
