Fridge on 12V killing the batteries

Indeed, we can be of more assistance if we know what we are dealing with:
What RV?
What size alternator?
What size battery bank (amp-hrs)?
What converter, inverter/charger do you have-- smart/3 stage or not?
Tell us more about how you use the RV-- how many hours you drive, vs shore power vs dry camping. If dry camping, how many hours of generator time each day.
And, if your description of how your refrigerator operates (12 VDC only with engine running) I suspect there may be another issue. The amount of 12 VDC used by the PC board, ignitor and propane valve should not be a battery killer (assuming the rest of the system is working properly).
