The shocks were bad and we changed all four just last month...because the tires had an uneven wear and chop/wave on them. The shock was the worst hubby had ever seen (you could pull plunger out and it would go back in all on its own....probably orginal shocks with 40,000 miles and 9 years of life). The drivers tire was noticeably worse than passenger but this also had the worst shock of all four. The uneven wear seemed to all be slanted towards one side (not sure if it was inside or outside).
These tires were newly installed before our trips. 2013 and they are now two years old. We did 20,000 miles on these new Firestone tires AND part of it was on the gravel road of Labrador.
It now drives and handles fine. Hubby thinks most of the wear was shock issues.
