- Cloud_DancerExplorer IIWell, you asked, so here goes:
IMO a rear-engine diesel is not everything,.....it's the ONLY THING!
That's the impression I got after 5 front-engine motorhomes and just ONE diesel pusher. - TrackrigExplorer III don't see any benefits to the smaller diesels up front, only negatives - lack of power, no air brakes, no air ride, no retarder, engine noise up front when you're up front and generator noise when you're in the back. And, the mid door kills the idea.

Quite Quiet. - mowermechExplorerQuite what?
- IvylogExplorer IIIX3 plus it's half a step above a gas MH as you do not get any of the benefits of a DP... air ride, air brakes, plenty of CCC, and OK quiet.:S Why go half way there and that's being generous?

- Executive45Explorer IIIHave not had a front end diesel but we did look at one...only one...we didn't like much about it. The engine took up too much living space. The mid door took up too much usable living space and it was noisy when driving. So we abandoned that idea. We like the rear diesel as we can hold a normal conversation when under way and the generator is in the front so we can run it while we sleep if necessary and you can't hear it....Dennis
