Does that 5.9 have an engine mounted lift pump like the ISC? If so they can develop leaks due to ULSD. On the ISC there are three bolts on the top of the lift pump that you can tighten and stop the leak.
You beat me to it JetAonly...I too was thinking the possibility of the Lift Pump, if in fact his rig/engine has one. Not sure if they used them on the older models as far back as '95. If it is however, even if tightening the bolts gets it to stop, that will be a very short term fix. But, maybe enough to get it to the shop.
MrWizard...Also, check the fittings on the fuel line(s), especially at the lift pump manifold (on top of the pump). You may simply have a loose fitting. Not common, but it could happen.
A couple of years ago, my lift pump started leaking just out of nowhere one morning while preparing to leave on a trip. It was enough of a leak whereas driving it wouldn't be prudent. This was a Friday evening after everything had already closed (naturally), so unhooked the toad and back into the yard it went with that weekends trip now cancelled. Called the Local Cummins Northeast on Monday and they had one on the shelf. About $300.00. Did the replacement myself. I was just glad that it happened while still home, and not somewhere down the road! ($$$$ !!!)
