Fuel Leak ... need mobile diesel mechanic
just started today, took ten minutes to start, first around noon when we wanted to leave the grocery, then later in the evening going back to homebase location I did have a mechanic, i called him,...

sorry for the update delay
mobile mechanic Diagnoses (2) problems
no start, is the pull solenoid, cheap compared to most diesel problems
and there is a work around for must start situations ( manually push up the rod from underneath the RV ) then go start engine
big problem is front 'plunger' of injection pump is leaking badly
have an appointment next week 'monday' for shop about 20+ miles from here
have to move into a motel/hotel for a few days
busy scoping that out and getting Reservations setup
2 people 2 small dogs rental car etc..
was going to goto Cumins, but they got ridiculous on pricing, $3300 for a Reman pump and $1700 for labor etc.. was the estimate, Appox $5300 total with inclusions and taxes
God.. i lived 18yrs in gasers spending less money than i have spent in the last 4
Just this year sunk about $2600 in tires and brakes, now this
i'm not sure the flat front floor and less noise while driving is worth all this trouble and expense
DW says no more diesel, if we ever change again, it IS GAS or Divorce
