I would not rush into changing the intake before double checking it.
On my Prevost, air intakes have been 7 feet above the ground, in front of the rear engine and about 5 feet forward from the rear.
Still driving in Mexico I got the filter minder showing 50% resistance after only 2000 miles. That on filter element bigger than bucket.
What I also experienced on my basement-mounted inverter that like to overheat at freeways speeds, somehow on those square coaches the hot air from the engine bay moves forward creating some issues.
