Full Body Paint, Worth It ??

I am in the process of getting a newer Bounder motorhome 2008 with a full body paint, it has a lot of BLACK but it sure looks cool.

Wanting to know has anyone had any issues with there full body paint, how does it hold up compared to vinyl stripes.

  • I always considered FBP to be more of an EGO massager myself. sort of like spending $6,000 to show off. people will spend that but not spend $250 for a macerator pump, multi-function surge protector, break away system for toad, etc.

  • And here's the other side.

Paint it black and send it back :B

  • There's the pic of the one I am thinking of buying, yes it has some black but is sure is cool looking..

Black is always in fashion :C
  • Paint is much more durable than gelcoat and/or stickers.

My BIL just de-stickered his Super C, had a shop put Imron paint on it.
The paint should now last longer than the MoHo

    Vinyl stickers fade and crack.
  • A whole lot easier to take care of so less work. Shows dirt more readily so needs to be kept clean so more work. Darker colors makes the acnd work harder and perhaps does not stay as cool inside. I have my first full body paint and want no other.
  • Probably only you can decide if full body paint is, "worth it."

Lots of black...are you sure you want to go with that? Black definitely, "looks cool." But, keeping black looking good is a monumental task. Every speck of dust, every drop of dirt, every water spot, every scratch and swirl mark...well, you get the picture.

Also, black is much hotter and harder to cool the inside in high temp locations.
    Good luck with your choice.
  • Full body paint is the only way to go. I have a 2002 and the full body paint looks new.
