Full Timing In a 30ft Class A

We are full timing starting next year have our eyes on a 30 ft newmar bay star. Its just me and my wife wondering if that might be a little to small seems fin looking at it.We are also towing a car so we flet a 36 footer would be way to long to drive
  • So does size. You need to go play house in it for a while with no salesmen bothering you. Your biggest problem with smaller is lack of closet, storage, and laundry facilities. All things you likely will find missing or insufficient in a smaller rig. When we went looking for our fiver we played house for a half hour. Tried everything and found what we absolutely hated and loved. The fiver we ended up with has not disappointed in 13 years.
  • My wife and I do just fine in our 34' Class A. Our previous coach was 33' with no slides. This one has a single 14' "super slide", and seems much roomer.
  • If you're talking about the triple slide, then not even a problem. I might consider swapping out the Jackknife couch for two recliners or a sofa with two recliners in it.

    Yes, nimble has it's advantages.
  • I have seen lots of fulltimers in smaller rigs. Small has it's advantages sometime. Finding sites, parking, fueling, etc...
