Just a thought; Entegra (pretty high end) does not use full wall slides.
Guess I don't understand this comment? American Coach, a high end coach has full wall slides in all models. Guess it depends on the manufacturer and their choice to engineer the FWS or not. - Blaster_ManExplorerNo down side. Find a floor plan u like.
- Mile_HighExplorerMine is on the curb side, and it does set lower than the other slides, making it a hunch to get into those cabinets. I kind of cuss that part.

You might want to also check the ease in getting into the basement bays under the slide.
Very good point.
As a plus for a driver side full wall slide is that a multiple slide unit usually has a passenger slide for the living room. If you have a concrete patio pad that is 8 feet wide your slide takes up 2 feet of it leaving you only 6 feet to work with. 6 feet really is not much if you have company over and want to sit outside having happy hour. - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIYou might want to also check the ease in getting into the basement bays under the slide.
- Mr_Mark1ExplorerWe had friends that had a full wall slide in a Monaco Signature, they never had a problem with it.
A full wall slide really opens up the space. I prefer four separate slides as we have been in a few situations where an obstacle would inhibit the full wall side going out. We've had a tree, a bush, a utility pole blocking the center area of the coach.
If you don't like ducking under the full wall slide for your water bay connections, you have to plan your connections accordingly (connect before deploying the FWS and disconnect afterwards).
Everything can be worked around. Buy and drive what you like. We did.
Safe travels,

New coach has 3 slides and 3 feet longer but doesn't feel a big. I would buy another coach with full wall slide as long as it didn't have Schwintek slide motors
- Two_JayhawksExplorerNewmar and Winnebago as well as others have been using FWS for years with a good track record.

Any downside to a full wall slide? I remember while back they had trouble with full wall slides not aligning correctly. Wonder if that's still true?
I for one, am against them. Now, try to imagine looking at this rig, with the slide removed and one must wonder about the structural integrity of such an animal, with a hole in it, that size. Also if you've ever personally worked on a smaller one, you'd know that you don't want anything to do with a full wall unit. Just try to imagine all this staying straight and aligned for the next 100K miles and going down every type of road in the country.
I'd much rather have 3 or 4 smaller rooms in a rolling coach and preferably with the fridge not being in any of them. Bad enough as it is with plumbing and electric going back and forth in these things, in many cases. - Dadio24ExplorerThe new systems work much better than the original FWS in 2088(?). The alignment issue and sync have been worked out. Itasca recommended the fix for my Sunrise and all is good.
