Borrowed a trailer and getting ready for some fun in the sun (it's cold here now 30's again tonight)I went and bought a 8 inch drop hitch, the 6 inch had the deck at too much of an angle, and I think I'm going to turn the jeep around on the trailer (engine is the heaviest part so I will put it to the rear).The tire minder came today so I will put that onThe house will be house sat by my son, who is going to do some rust repair on my other son's new to him pickup.

Careful with too much weight behind rear axle of trailer, it might start "wagging" at higher speeds.

It looks just right the way it is loaded. Need that extra weight to the front.

Just curious, why are you not towing the jeep 4 down? It is tow able 4 down isn't it? And if you did tow it 4 down, you would not have to worry about the trailer. It would be easier and quicker to hook-up.

There is a debate as to if it can be tow four down, best advice was to disconnect the rear drive shaft and unlock the front hubs. I do not feel like crawling under the Jeep each time I want to drive it.

The plan is to purchase a custom trailer tall enough to put the Jeep inside.

The Jeep is a true survivor (original paint, components, never been apart) I would like to protect it against the elements and use the new enclosed trailer for winter storage.
