There is a fuel shut off solenoid on the side of the pump that does this very function. I have had to replace the fuel shut off solenoid as the engine would not shut off some times.
The question is how can you shut the solenoid off when the key on the dash is on (supplying power to the fuel shut off solenoid).
I would not want to have the remote start work unless the key on the dash was on.
