Well the Motor Home has let me down again.
Heat quickly over came the dash A/C
Turned the generator on and than the overhead A/C
Acted funny, would not run unless the Inverter was on.
Drove 5 hours.
Stopped and realized the generator was not running under load.
We are traveling with a train mechanic
Traced the problem down to the power transfer switch. Interlock relay was not making contact.
Manually exercised it and now generator carries A/C load.
Now I am not getting the usual hum from the electronics compartment.
Seems the batteries are not being charged by the generator. inverter still seems to work (when not shore power or generator still have 110 in the Motor Home.
I think we fried the charger. Not sure is that is part of the inverter?
When the engine is running batteries are being charged.
I would really like one trip without drama.
Maybe we have had the drama for this trip early?
