fuse location

Please help me i need the location of fuse location for my outside porch light.Ihave a 1998 american tradition 40.Icked dash,bedroom outside by battries where else thanks
  • You have three choices;
    1. Under the dash "hood", which is the cover over top of the speedo, tach, gas gage, etc. It is screwed down from the top.
    2. Fuse panel next to the 120v breaker panel. Lots more fuses in there.
    3. Fuse panel in the battery compartment, in the "Intelletec" box.

    All the house 12 volt fuses are located on or near the converter and the 120 volt breaker box. The light circuit will have other things on it also. No need a volt tester.

    There are basically two types of house power panels
    My Progressive Dynamics has handy dandy LED's next to the fuses Blow a fuse and the LED lights up....

    OThers do not

    If yours does not you need an automotive test lamp and may need so wire to extend the clip lead with to any good ground.. or not depending on the panel)

    Touch the tip into the small square or retangular opening on each end of the top of the blade..

    BRIGHT-BRIGHT = Good fuse

    BRIGHT-DARK (or Dark bright) Bad fuse
    Dark-Dark no test.
  • Porch light is usually wired into your normal 12v house lighting in your power panel
    If the fuse is blown other lights should also be not working
