Future owner questions

Ok so the wife and I have been shopping around and fell in love with the Thor Hurricane 35C bath and a half unit.
Upon some research we found the Miramar 34.1 with larger wheels, tanks ect. Problem is there is none close to us to sit in, play with, test drive! This is not an "Im buying next week so I need hurry" so any Input on 2016-17 34.1 units would be greatly appreciated!! I heard the new 2017's have a new 6 speed trans that would assist with the Rockies and Smokies!!

Also the only place we have to purchase around here is Camping world and I have mixed feelings about that! Would it be worth the trip to Elkhart or down to Texas with Motor Home Specialists?

    You already know, but I'll reiterate, don't buy from CW.

    I'd suggest buying in Elkhart but wherever you decide to buy, always check them. RVServiceReviews.com is a good start, if a dealer has a bad service deptment, you'd probably not want to buy there. Yelp might have some helpful reviews.

    I think that buying from the factory MAY have some advantages but you will still have to have a local dealership perform any warranty work, unless you want to drive back to the factory each time.
    Perhaps your best bet would be to go to one of the large RV shows. This will give you an opportunity to see the latest rigs as well as maybe make a purchase at a discount of a show model.
