Perhaps the craziest thing I have heard on here- I have owned both and crossed the Rockies in both - going up hill the DP was a little faster but the Ford Gasser got me to the west coast
That pretty well sums it up. We've did it with the older 454CID powered Class As, the newer V10 rigs and now with a DP. They all did the job-they just do it differently.
One of the bigger differences will be the build level that can be found on DPs. Look at both. Drive both. Find one that fits your lifestyle and budget.
