I started with 27 ft B plus, then to 30 ft with three slides, then 35 ft with three slides and washer dryer and then 38 ft. All gas. I spent money with suspension mods of all types. Things improved but never where i wanted them. Newer Ford engine in 2016 was better but still loud. Finally a month ago i traded on our winter travels for a 2013 Itasca Ellipse QD. 42 ft with tag. The ride is amazing and the quality is better. The 2016 38 Q was the top of the line gas but just didn’t reach the quality of this older DP. We did mountains ago with all our gas motorhomes. Thebig difference was the lesser grades. We noticed them with gas. The dp just glides over them. Nowmine is 450. Perhaps smaller dp would operate differently. I agree on fueling in truck area v. the car area where things were tight. I am sure i will not fit in some campgrounds. The 30T was a great coach with three slides and fit everywhere but ride and size caused us to trade. If you are going to spend long periods on the road a good deal on dp will serve you best but if you want to hold cost down you can do well with a good gas. For 15 years we had fun with gas including an Alaska adventure. Now we are loving the DP with the great ride, features and space.
