Can we discuss pros & cons re gas or diesel?

It's been done about a thousand times. Have you tried to search for similar threads.
I always think I will do this when one of these threads pop-up so now I have. :) Below is a comparison (rough) of cost for 1K miles and 120K miles (how many miles we have driven in our LTV) using our diesel mileage and what I think I have gathered from this forum to be a high average for comparable gas RVs. Not precise but good enough to start an argument. Each can draw their own conclusions.

I would add to this that the newer Sprinters are getting less than 22, more in the range of 18 to 20. (Someone correct me if this is wrong.)
So not as big of a difference in MPG, and with diesel fuel costing more in many places, it's almost a wash. Diesels cost more, but seen to run longer, but how many owners are going to put 200,000 miles on their RV. I know a few on this forum have, but they are not the average. So many will never benefit from the extra cost of a diesel.
The other thing is, if you get a diesel, and you want a generator, it will, as of now, be propane, and one will go through propane pretty fast. Gas, will have a gas gen-set, and will run off of the fuel tank. A propane gen-set may not be a problem if you don't plan on running the generator, very often, for the air conditioner.
Service for a Sprinter, can be a problem, depending on where you live, or break down. Some owners here have never had a problem, but you can read in other forums, where getting to an authorized dealer, and getting parts, can be a major headache.
The only thing that would keep me from buying a Class B diesel is the cost, and propane generator. I live in the SW.
I will add to this about MB fuel recommendations of no fuel over B5. So far they have not been forthcoming about the warranty for owners who are forced, by their states, to use B15 and even B20. This may or may not be a problem, but something many owners, and prospective owners are concerned about.
