I know it would be politically incorrect, but whenever fuel goes up, you get all of the people saying the sky is falling and they're going to sell their RV. I always thought about saving their names and asking where are they now. Fuel prices are cyclical.
When we bought our first diesel in 2005, diesel fuel in California was $3.50 a gallon. It went all the way up to $5.05 one summer. Now, in California, the price of diesel is $3.69, just .19 cents more than I paid almost 10 years ago.
You just have to ride the wave of gas prices and don't panic.
I'm also finding that campgrounds are full and it's getting tougher to get a spot if you don't book at least 2 months out. Dang...all these old people going camping. :S Oops....that's me!
When I bought my DP in California in 2004 diesel was $1.97 a gallon.
