After a certain point in time of ownership, you know where your coach will fit and where it won't. Obviously truck stops have more room but for those of us that travel the back roads to see the country, we get used to stopping at the stations that we know will not be a problem, even if we still have a half of tank of fuel. I've stopped at little Mom and Pop stations that have only had two pumps, but they were located where I could pull in with my toad with no problem. I have never had to disconnect my toad at any fueling station. In fact, depending on how the pumps are oriented, I have been able to fill up both the coach and the toad at the same time.
All it takes is a little common sense and not waiting until you are almost empty and have to settle with what is available. If you are below 1/2 tank and you see a station that has easy entrance and exit, just stop. It doesn't take that long and in most cases the fuel will be cheaper than the Interstate truck stops.
