Once you get comfortable with your coach, you'll find it pretty easy to traverse most stations since you're fairly short in length.
Normally you'll fuel up at home either before or after a trip, so worrying about fuel on most short trips won't be an issue. When on the road, you can either fuel at the end of the day or when you break camp. If you do it when you break camp, you can often scout the area in your toad while sightseeing prior to departure.
You'll find over the next few years that you will identify stations along your routes from home that you'll routinely use.
