Agree with the others, you should not have any problem if you plan ahead. A couple extra steps I take is: When you find a gas station that works for you, mark it on your gps, should you ever return to that area. I start looking for a station when I am at half a tank, so you never feel pressured to try to get in someplace that is borderline. I always carry 2 empty 5 gallon cans.
