What's the difference between a map and GPS? They are both tools, some just like to use better tools. A map can never tell you where you are, A map can never give you turn by turn directions, you don't get street level maps unless you hunt them down for each leg of your journey, a map can't find the nearest gas station from your current location, how far and which way is the nearest hospital? A gps can do that in seconds when minutes count , why would I even think about asking my wife to pull out a Huge book to look for a campground when she can do in in seconds with either the GPS and/or phone. Some people are stuck in the past doing it the hard way or techno gizmos are too confusing, but some prefer to use a modern tool that is far superior to any old school map you can pull out. To each their own.
