It seams kinda fishy . If you cant drive it let him drive and you guys ride along.
If it starts it can at least go down the drive way and back. I have full coverage insurance which covers any thing I drive ,is he saying the coach no longer has insurance ? Does the coach have current plates ? In some states expired plates could mean a fine $$,
