Although I loved our popup when the boys were growing up, at my age now, I really don't want to deal with having wet canvas to dry out when I get home. I also enjoy the full size bathroom that I have in my 26'9" trailer. We downsized to a smaller trailer, but still have plenty of storage space, outside fridge, great tv setup for watching in the dinette area or in bed, big enough to live in for longer trips and it tows very well with a 1/2 ton pickup.
And...if the momma ain't happy, nobody's happy! So try to get her to settle on a smaller trailer that can still be towed by a 1/2 ton truck, unless you want to get into a smaller FW and a larger truck.
