I plug mine into a 20 amp circuit when parked at home. Everyone once in awhile, I trip the GFI on that circuit when plugging in. You might check inside the MH to be sure that nothing is left turned on (i.e. refrigerator, water heater, or any other big draw items). Another thing that I do is shut the circuit breaker off to the plug (the breaker box is right there above the plug in my case). I then plug the cord from the motorhome in and make sure that all of the adaptive connections from 50 to 20 amp are secure. Then, I flip the breaker on. I rarely have a problem with the GFI tripping when I do it this way.
