Goodyear Tires?

Just a quick question about replacement tires on a Class A.

Has anyone ever run Goodyear G 661 HSA (245/70R/19.5)
If so what is your opinion?
They price of the G670 RV tire sort of going out of sight.

Thanks in Advance for any help
  • My Goodyear 159's and 670's did great for 5 years and then blowouts started. After a blowout at 5 years and one month, I switched to Hankooks. Sold the MH before they reached 5 years. They stunk like vomit for 6 months!
  • Thanks for all the feedback on tires.
I started out with Goodyear 670RV then went to Michelin RV.

Actually have been thinking of Samson as a few of my friends have
    gone to them.
Camping World also offers Samson as choice along with Goodyear.

    Thanks Again

  • I'm a Firestone fan, I just put new ones on last June while in Oklahoma. Went from Oklahoma to Maine, back to Oklahoma and then here to Tucson, AZ. They ride just fine and I saved tons of money.
  • After having a sidewall blow out on my pickup that had brand new Goodyears on it and no help from goodyear I would never own another one. Ran 19.5 Hankooks on my old PaceArrow and running 22 inch Hankooks on my Suburban they are a great tire. My new to me Moho came with Samson tires and I can't say anything bad about them. When it comes time to replace in the next few years Hankook and Samson will be on my list.
  • I've had good service from the Goodyear G647RSS tires on my coach.
  • I've had Goodyears since 2001. Original tires (19.5"). Picked up a nail (not Goodyears' fault) and had a blow-out near El Paso, Texas. Hit something...again not Goodyears' fault. I have replaced them twice...with NEW Goodyears...same model.
Lots of "flaming" here about Goodyears...but also about most any brand. Thousands and thousands of Goodyear RV tires out there. Goodyear makes truck tires that fit just fine. Do they ride good? Don't know. Your $$.......

    Just my experience and opinion.
  • The tire manufacturers all blamed their huge increases on oil prices a few years ago. When oil was $100 a barrel, they raised the prices over $100.00 per tire on 22.5 tires. I looked to see if they hid a barrel of oil inside the tire, but hey didn't. Now that oil is down, their prices are still up and going.

Personally, after all the issues with the G670's that I had in the past, I wouldn't put Goodyear tires on a wagon. Look at Hankooks, Sumitomo's and Toyos.
