The service manager SHOULD appreciate hearing from you. That is the ONLY way he has to judge the quality of the work being done by his employees.
A lot of people will be pissed and never go back to that dealer, altho it may be just one employee that is careless.
Without feedback from the public, no business can improve their level of service, especially if you plan on dealing with this shop in the future. The service manager does not do a personal inspection of every vehicle that leaves his shop. He trusts his employees and if the customers do not speak up, how is the service manager supposed to know about a problem and address it.
Speak up but use diplomacy.
