Got hung up and could not move. How did I get out?

"Boondocking with poor cell service." I love it. I will remember that if I get stuck in some situation. Just "boondocking". ;)

Seriously though, I'm very happy to hear that you were able to get out of it with no problem. I guess I just assumed that air leveling would go into travel mode when you started the coach engine. It is just such a habit to hit the travel mode button that I never really gave it much thought. Nice to know that you can use the "leveling" functionality to get you out of a tough situation. (Although as I am typing this I can see the contradiction in my own thinking since I sometimes use the engine air compressor to help with leveling.)

Anyway, good to hear of a good outcome.

You know, it is impossible for anyone to offer any assistance without pictures. I have no doubt that once pictures are posted, you will get all kinds of helpful posts...

Steep driveway and bad internet/cell service. You are really roughing it!

I went with my friend to do his PDI on a new Coachman Cross Country he bought.
The same thing happened to us trying to get it in his driveway coming home from the dealer of all things.
The hitch dug into asphalt and stuck. The drive wheel was spinning an inch off the ground. Of course by this time all the neighbors are out giving advice, asking why he bought something so huge (39 ft.) etc.
We tried jacking it up but it would not budge.

The final solution after 2 hours of trying everything else was to manually lower the left rear stabilizing jack to raise the drive wheel. Then I was able to use a sledge hammer and drive a 2x12 block under the drive wheel. He backed off with no problem and the jack was ok. He later had his driveway regraded and all is well now.

By the way we did hook up a 4x4 GMC 2500 Sierra to the MH with a tow strap and try to pull it backwards. Would not budge.

If it was a dirt driveway, you could dig a small trench for the hitch.

Throw a bottle jack under the rear axle. That will raise it up high enough to be able to put some wood under the rear wheels. That should allow you to back out.

If you were my neighbor, I'd thrown a hook into your hitch, and just drug you backwards with the Jeep, the same way you got in.

if nothing else works, plug your extension cord in and call it your new home.
