That's great progress

Sounds like previous owner routinely left grey drain valve open.....liquids ran out and STUFF stayed behind building up like settlement on a creek bed.

ALL 5 models in 2007 and ALL 6 models in 2008 used same size tanks:
Fresh/86
Black/50
Grey/50

2009 they went to larger tanks. F/100 B/50 G/75

So unless previous owner swapped tank I doubt MFG. put in a smaller one.

I know this might be a little hard to do, But measure it and figure the capacity from your measurements. Measurement will most likely be in inches. Multiply length X width X height and divide by 231. That'll give you the capacity in gallons.

An 18 gallon block of sludge? If you have a clothes washer there have been a few instances of postings regarding problems with tank possibly related to fabric softener and cloths lint along with other item washed down a drain. Doesn't happen very often.

If you can get to the tank measure it (length, width, height) to determine the volume. Fleetwood has on paper what should be there but verify it yourself. If the numbers match might be best to have a plumber run a fiber optic camera up the dump line, down the roof vent or a drain to see what's going on and determine the best course of action to take rather than stabbing in the dark.

I can tell it is full by gauge and water backing up in shower. I am the second owner. I will contact the original owner and ask him about it. Fleetwood said it was originally built with a 50 gallon tank. Thanks everyone for your help. I will post what I find out.

I had a similar issue with mine. When I complained to my dealer when it was still under warranty, they checked it out for me. It turned out that the tank is a bit of a wedge shape, with the back side of it a couple of inches shorter than the side where it drains out. They shimmed up the back side a couple of inches with a block of styrofoam so that it would drain out more completely when dumping, and so that the top of the tank was more level, instead of the bottom, creating more usable space (depends on where your shower drain is). They also suggested using the leveling jacks to lean it toward the dump station, which I do now.

If you are not the original owner, how would you know if a previous owner had a problem with a leaky or cracked gray tank and choose to replace it with a smaller tank?

If you are the original owner, then I think it is a little late to bring this to Fleetwood's attention.

Can you see the gray water tank from the outside? Is it possible that it is bloated up in the middle making some of the tank inaccessible before the water backs up into the shower?
